Virtual Mailbox Scan Overage Calculator

See what it actually costs to open and scan your mail. Enter how many envelopes you open and the average pages inside, then compare the scanning portion of Traveling Mailbox, iPostal1, Anytime Mailbox, and PostScan Mail.

Affiliate disclosure: we may earn a commission from provider links at no extra cost to you.

Your scanning usage

Each separate piece of mail you ask the provider to open.
A 10-envelope month at 3 pages each = 30 scanned pages.
PostScan annual plans include more scan requests.

Estimated scanning cost

This section isolates scan-related cost. Base mailbox subscription fees and mail-volume overages are intentionally excluded.

How each provider charges

ProviderIncluded scansExtra scanning
Traveling Mailbox35 / 80 / 180 pages on Basic / Extended / Small Business$0.50 per page over plan allowance
iPostal1No content scans bundled$2.25/order up to 10 pages; bundles $10/5, $18/10, $30/20; extra pages $0.25
Anytime Mailbox5 pages on current generic offer$0.50 per additional page; local operator terms can vary
PostScan Mail0 / 5 / 10 requests monthly; 0 / 10 / 20 annual$2 per extra envelope up to 10 pages, then $0.25/additional page

Why this matters

A $9.99 mailbox is not automatically cheaper than a $15 mailbox when you read a lot of mail online. Scan pricing can erase the difference quickly.

This is why the main Cost Calculator treats scan pricing differently for every provider instead of forcing everyone into one per-page formula.
